Quarts de Final :

[5] Ramy Ashour (Egy)
bat
Grégory Gaultier
11/5, 12/10, 11/8 (58m)

“I didn’t play too badly, a bit disappointed that I slipped several times, cost me precious points where I only had to drop the ball at the front.

“The fact that I didn’t have any kind of matches for a month and a half made my life a bit difficult, but I’m counting on the European Teams to get a few more matches, and I should be ready and fit for the British Open, which is my main goal this year.

“And it goes without saying that Ramy played a great match !!!”

Deuxième tour :

[2] Grégory Gaultier
bat

Simon Rosner (Ger)
11/6, 11/9, 10/12, 11/1 (67m)

Second seed Grégory Gaultier looked to be heading for a fairly comfortable 3-0 win over Simon Rosner, but from 4-10 down the strong German scored eight points in a row to pull a game back 12/10. The Frenchman responded with a run of nine points to lead the fourth 9-0, and finished it off 11-1 to set up a mouth-watering clash with Ramy Ashour in the quarter-finals.

Premier tour :

[2] Grégory Gaultier (Fra) bat Marwan El Shorbagy (Egy)
11/4, 11/9, 11/2 (33m)

“I’m really happy to come back to competition after a month and a half of rest, I was doing a lot of physical training, but nothing replaces the game! It was nice to get on the glass court again.

Marwan played extremely well, he has a lot of good shots and moves very fast to the front, so it was perfect to test myself, and to get back into business. He was very patient, he didn’t got like wild, trying to attack everything, he played a very mature game, not at all like a junior, and it’s obvious he’s evolving in the right direction.

I’m really enjoying the place, nice to be back here, and next time, I’ll be back with my girlfriend!!!”
